Harlem's Fashion Row Presents Style Beat During Grammy Weekend

Four multicultural fashion designers showcased their collections to a selected group of celebrities and influencers for Harlem Fashion Row's inaugural event in Los Angeles

Los Angeles (February 8, 2015) - Harlem's Fashion Row (HFR) presented Style Beat, its inaugural event in Los Angeles during Grammy Awards weekend. The red carpet took place on the afternoon of Friday, February 6, 2015 at an exclusive private state in Beverly Hills, California. HFR is a unique movement founded to increase diversity in fashion by producing events to educate, stimulate, and advance opportunities for emerging designers of color. Collections by four multicultural fashion designers were showcased to a select group of 250 guests. The featured designers were the legendary L.A.-based designer Kevan Hall, custom menswear designer Waraire Boswell, and emerging designers, Joseph Bethune and "Project Runway" finalist Kimberly Goldson

The event featured a one-on-one conversation with Kevan Hall and HFR's Founder/CEO Brandice Henderson-Daniel. Following their conversation, the runway show enlightened the audience with exclusive and creative design.

Mrs. Brandice Henderson-Daniel cheerfully thanked the audience for their presence and reminded them on the importance of supporting multicultural fashion designers. "I've dreamt of expanding Harlem's Fashion Row to Los Angeles and now it's become a reality. It's our first-ever event on the West Coast and we're excited to introduce our brand to the entertainment community and continue to present diversity in fashion," she said.

Verizon Wireless was one of the major event partners and its presence during the event emphasized the program "Potential of Us". "Potential of Us" is a unique movement that uses Verizon technology to inspire everyone, especially the African American community, to take whatever moves them and turn that potential into something powerful. "With a network behind me like Verizon, friends and family, I have been able to merge fashion with technology and reach heights unimaginable by bringing Harlem Fashion Row to Los Angeles and the West Coast," concluded Mrs. Henderson-Daniel.
